Profile

With over 10 years experience editing for film, video and television, I bring a unique skill set, a strong work ethic and a well-rounded perspective to each project as a storytelling artist. Beginning with videography in 1999, then breaking into broadcast television and film in 2005, I have been fortunate to have worked on nearly every genre and type of show. Clients have come to appreciate that I am able to maintain a high level of creativity while working under pressure to meet tight deadlines. From offline to online editing, including title design and color grading, I have technical mastery over countless workflows and a spotless record of adapting quickly to the unique demands of each project.

Technical Skills

• Expert-level editing with Final Cut Pro and Avid Media Composer; Compositing with After Effects and Photoshop; Professional Color Grading with Apple Color; Proficiency in a tape room with HDCAM SR, Digital Betacam, and other decks.
• Offline and Online Editing workflow experience includes Film, RED, HDSLR, P2, XDCAM, HDV, Digital Betacam, Beta SP, DVCAM and more. Highly skilled at devising the best methods for the best results.
• Adept at staying abreast of the ever-changing landscape of digital film technologies at an expert level.

• 3-day Final Cut Pro workshop, mostly technical but also layered with insight into editing as both an art and a job
• Suitable for beginner to intermediate level editors, or anyone who wants to learn Final Cut Pro

Teacher/Instructor, Powell River Digital Film School- 2008-present

• Created and taught 7-week intensive post-production course, accredited by Capilano University
• Designed the school's HD production workflow and equipment list
